Peter Probst
Peter Probst has been self-employed for most of his life, running businesses in the entertainment industry, construction and property management, retirement residence for seniors and Safeguard, an independent Distributor of printing, promotional products, apparel and electronic services for businesses. Peter did work in the Safeguard Mississauga manufacturing facility from 1984 until 1992 when he started his independent Distributorship, Safeguard Business Resources. Peter also enjoys playing music as a keyboardist and vocalist in rock, blues and jazz bands.
Eric Lam
Eric Lam has been a graphic designer in the print industry for over 20 years and a Safeguard consultant for over a decade, having worked within many Distributorships. He has honed his expertise, predominantly in the promotion products and apparel category. If you’re promoting your brand or an event, Eric’s your man! He is also a talented keyboardist and vocalist with his band The Doubts, who play across Southern Ontario.
Bill Robinson
After 10 years in the accounting department of The Steel Company of Canada (Stelco) in Hamilton, Bill Robinson first entered the medical/dental market as a representative for CML Medical Leasing. Having gained a thorough knowledge of the operating and front office needs of these professions, it was a natural transition to Mardan Business Systems Ltd, a leading Canadian supplier of one-write accounting, colour-coded filing, and medical/dental charting. With the acquisition of Mardan by Safeguard Business Systems the expertise of Bill Robinson was also acquired, and Bill continues to represent Safeguard and their expanding product lines, including promotional and apparel products. Bill's accounting background and subsequent years as a small business owner himself provide him with the experience necessary to be a valuable consultant to small business owners and professionals.
Forrest Fairley
Originally from Louisiana, Forrest Fairley has now moved back to Cincinnati, Ohio, after twelve successful years with Deluxe Corporation and Safeguard Business Systems in Dallas, Texas, where he was the Director of Promotional Products, managing all promotional product revenue production, marketing to over 4 million small businesses, establishing vendor relations, overseeing corporate promotional marketing and leading Distributor education and engagement. His achievements with Deluxe/Safeguard include being named to TOP Advertising Specialty Industry Leaders in 2018, receiving the Pacemaker Award by ASI for revenue growth and achieving the #16th largest producing Distributor Organization in the promotional product industry for 2018. 2021 starts a new chapter in Forrest’s illustrious career, joining Safeguard Business Resources, Inc. as Associate Distributor in Cincinnati where he will continue to help businesses market their brands successfully. Forrest Fairley is also a published author, having released in 2020 his first novel, The Young Minds, available on Amazon. He also had spent almost 30 year performing in numerous stage productions as an award winning actor and director. He continues to have a passion for the stage.
Gillian Edwards
Gillian has been in advertising, branding and marketing for over 20 years. In 2021, she decided that Entrepreneurship was the next step in her career journey and started an Operations and Marketing consulting business. After being a Safeguard customer for many years, she decided to join the team and add branded promotional products to her service offerings. Gillian also has a passion for learning and if she is not spending time with her family or a good book, she can be found in her office working through another course.
